I don’t like food that has too much sauce overpowering the dish. I like that they served my dish with sauce on side (as I requested). Server was great. Great location. I’ve only been there for lunch a few times and have noticed large groups each time… definitely could use more servers to move things along. My criticism is only meant as constructive. Overall it was pretty darn great. I would recommend.

We were a party of 7 served by Chelsea S. Sincerely, it was the best service ever that I can ever remember at a restaurant. She was very pleasant and helpful with menu suggestions and adjustment requests. All food and drinks orders were spot on without writing them down.Another waitress had taken my unfinished plate in error while I left the table for a bit. When Chelsea was advised of this, she had the cook whip me up a 1/2 order in a take out.Thumbs up for the great food at this location and awesome service by Chelsea S.

Do not go there if you’re black, you’ll not get refills and the service is awful for minorities. I have another friend who told me the same thing but wanted to try. They don’t even have diversity on they staff. It’s a racist restaurant. Horrible! Our waitress never asked us about the food or if we needed anything else.

What an absolutely wonderful experience!My partner and I have been coming to Jack Astor’s on Hunt Club for two years (since moving to the area) and instantly became our favourite place to go out to eat. We've celebrated many of life events at this location. So it was an easy choice to make when choosing Jack Astor’s as the place we’d go to share our first meal out as Husband and Wife. They went above and beyond in making our meal a fantastic one. Our server and the manager were extremely kind and went out of their way to give us an unforgettable night! Thank you to the staff that worked the night of July 7th, this night is one we will not forget!We look forward when we find ourselves back in Ottawa and have the chance to visit this location again. Thanks again for making every but especially our last experience before moving (and after getting married) an amazing one!I highly recommend the pull apart pan cheese with cheese! It’s mouth watering, fluffy and delicious! I promise it won’t disappoint! I find myself craving it! HahaI also recommend the Blue Raspberry Lemonade (alcoholic beverage) It’s become one of my favourite drinks of all time and even started making them at home.

The Thursday lunch of the brothers. First time here and it won't be the last.Lots of parking, highly accessible and clean washrooms!Service was great. Sabrina was on the ball. Drinks and food ordered and they were served promptly. The fries were too spiced and not to my liking at all. I declined the offer of replacement as the ribs were very good - fall off the bone good!The only other observation was the music was on the loud side.

The restaurant is big and atmosphere is welcoming. The food is typical and standard fare.I've been here a few times and everytime I found that the pricing is a bit high for what you get and taste is just okay. The food is not bad but not great either.Given the price and the quality, I only go when friends want to eat at this place.

A week ago we went to this restaurant and had an awesome experience. Manager Sherwin and server Page went well out of their way to make our evening amazing. Food was excellent! Service was excellent. We will be returning!

We needed a place that would take reservations for 29 people from 1pm-2:30pm on a Sunday. Reservation was made by phone call about a month ahead. When we showed up, we were greeted and there were two rows of tables with room for 30 ready for us. We were served by two very nice ladies. They made sure that everyone was taken care of. In the photo, on the left you can see part of the order of striploin steak with a baked potato, in the middle is a chicken breast dish with potatoes, sauce and some streamed veggies. On the right there, a Mexican Bowl with all sorts of veggies, including avocado and chipotle sauce. There was a choice of protein Overall a positive experience. I felt very happy with my choice of a friendly restaurant.

My party went on a Thursday late afternoon. There was plenty of room inside so we didn't need to reserve a spot.Service was really good but the food was just okay. I got chicken tenders and a baked potatoe on the side. The tenders were good, crispy and not at all dry on the inside; the baked potatoe, however, wasn't good. It wasn't hot/warm and wasn't seasoned.The others in my party ordered the salad and fries with their main meals and enjoyed them so I think it's just the baked potatoe that was the problem.Overall, food was okay but not worth the price ($18.99+tax) for the quantity, imo.
